Qld Firefighters Memorial Golf Day (Formley Warby Day)
When: 4th September 2026
Memorial Golf Day is on again scheduled for September 4th at Wantima Golf and Country Club.
I also want to extend a special invitation to our retired firefighters who may not wish to play golf but would still like to be part of the day. We would love to see you at Wantima Golf and Country Club in the morning, where you can catch up with old friends, enjoy the camaraderie, and maybe even heckle players on the 1st and 10th tees as they pass by – we all know a good sledge is part of the tradition!
I look forward to seeing many of you out on the course or at the clubhouse to share in the memories and the good times.

“Thanks to everyone who has nominated a team for this year’s Qld Firefighters Memorial Golf Day.
I have been inundated with teams wanting to play, which is fantastic.
However, if you are an individual or a team who wants to play, reach out to me, and I will put you on a wait list, as there may be individuals or teams who, at the last minute, are unable to make it, and I may be able to fit you in.
All the carts have been secured by the early team nominations, so it is walking only for the latecomers.”
Luckily, RFFAQ was able to nominate and sponsor a team of Rob O’Connor, Owen George, Bill Carter and Bart Hamis. RFFAQ is also providing minor prizes for the day.
